Lompoc Fight Leads to Arrest After Suspect Brings Out Machete

Lompoc police arrested 55-year-old Lompoc resident Charles Baker Friday afternoon after a fight left one person injured.

Officers were dispatched to a business in the 1400 block of E Ocean Ave. regarding subjects fighting. Witnesses reported one subject had a machete. When they arrived on scene, officers found one victim with a cut to the hand. He was treated and released from the hospital.

Baker was found several blocks away and taken into custody without incident.

Police located the machete close to where the fight took place. Baker is accused of assault with a deadly weapon.
