Delegates Share Experience On Day Three Of DNC
Delegates from San Luis Obispo include an alternate who is just 18 years old.
Robert Canfield is a Bernie Sanders supporter with a great view of the political process in Philadelphia this week.
Canfield and Nick Andre showed off their seats via social media on Wednesday.
Andre said Hillary Clinton will have to make a great speech tomorrow to win over people still feeling the Bern.
Hillary Clinton delegate Susan Rose hosted Bill Clinton at a Hope Ranch event in Santa Barbara earlier this year. She has been moved by her convention experience.
Rose ran into Sen. Barbara Boxer of California outside the convention hall.
Boxer said, “In 2020 we are going to celebrate 100 years of women getting the right to vote. It’s taken us so long to get to this point.” Boxer said she is glad to have lived long enough to see it.
“Now we have to win,” Boxer said.
Delegates saw Clinton thank President Obama on stage before midnight. They will see Clinton give one of the most important speeches of her life on Thursday.
Clinton supporters will be campaigning on her behalf when they return home from the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
Sanders’ supporters will have to decide whether to campaign for her, too.
