Suspected Car Thief Arrested In Santa Maria
A car and foot chase led to the arrest of a suspected car thief in Santa Maria on Sunday night.
Officers ran the plates of a suspicious driver and found out the the car was stolen.
When they tried to stop the driver they said he drove off.
During the pursuit police said the suspect ditched the car on the 2100 block of Calle Serena in Santa Maria.
When the suspect took off on foot he jumped over fences in backyards.
With the help of a Sheriff’s helicopter and police k-9’s they tracked him down near Arthur Lane.
