Nwaba and SB Track Club Ready for Rio

Barbara Nwaba and Josh Priester make a dynamic duo.

Priester first introduced Nwaba to the heptathlon at UCSB and now the two are headed to the Summer Olympics in Rio representing the Santa Barbara Track Club.

Priester is the director and coach of the club that specializes in heptathletes and decathletes.

Nwaba graduated from UCSB in 2012 and she has become the U.S. National Champion in the heptathlon the past two years. The heptathlon is made up of seven events involving running, jumping and throwing.

The Santa Barbara Track Club was formed in 2012 and Barbara Nwaba is their first Olympian.
