Paso Robles Resident Faces Child Pornography Charges
Paso Robles police arrested 23-year-old Ernesto A. Barajas for possession of child pornography following a month-long investigation.
The Paso Robles Police Department began an investigation regarding an individual in possession of child pornography after getting tipped off by the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force on June 16, 2016.
Detectives secured a search warrant for an apartment in the 3000 block of Spring Street where they seized several computers.
The computers were examined by a forensic specialist with the Crimes Against Children Task Force. Several files were recovered from those computers that combined both videos and still images of known child pornography, according to authorities.
Barajas was arrested on July 21 following an interview with detectives. He was booked at the San Luis Obispo County Jail with bail set at $35,000.
