Crews Quickly Put Out Brush Fire Near Highway 154, Highway 246 Roundabout

Firefighters responded to, and quickly put out, a brush fire that broke out near the roundabout Highway 154 and Highway 246 at about 2:30 p.m. Friday.

The fire was contained to the immediate area. No structures were threatened, and no injuries were reported.

The temperature at the time was over 100 degrees. The fire was headed towards the riverbed, but firefighters stopped the flames before they could get that far.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
