11-Year-Old Shows His Appreciation for Santa Barbara Police Officers

Santa Barbara Police will recognize a local 11-year-old boy today.

After witnessing the shootings in Dallas and Baton Rouge, Elijah Mack felt so moved.

Elijah asked his parents to take him to the police department so he can show his appreciation for the men and women in blue.

He visited the station twice. A records clerk told officers Elijah walked in with a tray of cupcakes with tears in his eyes.

On Friday, they paid him back for motivating them to continue to keep peace in the community.
