Gauchos Baseball Headed to Music City for NCAA Regionals

The Gauchos will try to hit a high note this weekend in Nashville.

UCSB Baseball will open up NCAA Regional play against the University of Washington on Friday at noon pacific time and can be seen on ESPN3.

The Gauchos are seeded second while host Vanderbilt is the top seed. Xavier is also in this regional.

This is the Gauchos third trip to the postseason in the past four years.

UCSB went 37-18-1 in the regular season and had an outstanding RPI of 24.

The winner of this double-elimination Nashville Regional moves on to play the winner of the Louisville Regional in the NCAA Super Regionals. Besides the host Cardinals, Ohio State, Wright State and Western Michigan make up the Louisville Regional.
