Ohio State Point-Forward Mickey Mitchell Transfers to UCSB

Get ready for some highlight-reel passes Gaucho fans, Mickey Mitchell is coming to the Thunderdome.

The 6-foot-7 point-forward is transferring from Ohio State to UCSB where he will have three years of eligibility left with the Gauchos. By NCAA rules, he must sit out the 2016-17 season. Mitchell started the last seven games of last season for the Buckeyes.

Mitchell visited UCSB last week and obviously loved his time in Santa Barbara. UCSB received his Statement of Intent to Register last night officially making him a Gaucho.

Mitchell came to Ohio State as a 4-star recruit from Plano, Texas. He played on the same AAU team as current Gauchos guard Grant Troutt.

YouTube has plenty of his highlight passes from his prep days in Texas.
