Multiple Car Burglaries on the Santa Barbara Mesa
Santa Barbara Police have sent several patrol units to the Santa Barbara Mesa where an estimated 20 vehicles were burglarized since Sunday night.
The vehicles were apparently unlocked. No signs of forced entry has been detected.
Most of the stolen items were easy to take and conceal.
One car owner said his vehicle had items taken but left on the street nearby. In this case it included a purse with no cash inside.
Many residents said they were surprised at the crime spree and often watch out carefully over their streets and each others property.
Crime Scene Investigators spent the morning taking pictures of the targeted cars along with fingerprints.
