Slain Former Dos Pueblos High Student Remembered

Family, friends and teachers of Emily Fox filled the Performing Arts Center at Dos Pueblos High School on Saturday to celebrate her life and mourn her tragic death.

The 22-year-old was shot to death on January 17 in the San Fernando Valley.

Fox grew up in Santa Barbara, attending Foothill Elementary School, La Colina Junior High and finally graduating Dos Pueblos High School.

She was a standout athlete and was a three time All-Channel League golfer.

Her coaches said she was competitive and worked hard, putting in extra hours on the green.

Fox earned a scholarship to Cal State Northridge.

At the time of her death, Fox had one semester left to complete her senior year. She was studying Sociology.

Twenty-four year old Brian Gonzales is accused of killing Fox and her boyfriend Jerrad Scott in her apartment.

Gonzales briefly attended Santa Barbara High.

His arraignment is set for February.
