Santa Maria Police Welcome New Community Services Supervisor
After 20 years in law enforcement, Sergeant Russell Mengel is stepping out of the squad car and into the Community Services Supervisor position for the Santa Maria Police Department.
In his new role, Sergeant Mengel will supervise three beat coordinators, oversee the D.A.R.E. program and lead a team of school resources officers across Santa Maria schools.
