The Killer Shrimp Restaurant in Santa Barbara Closes

The Killer Shrimp restaurant in Santa Barbara has closed abruptly in downtown.

It opened in July of 2013 on 416 State Street.

There’s no word why the restaurant closed in such a short time.

The sign is off the building and, inside the chairs are stacked on tables.

Mail is piled up on the floor inside locked doors.

Killer Shrimp continues to operate its main restaurant in Marina Del Rey.

Prior to this opening, the site was going to be a Mexican food restaurant but that plan, by a different owner never panned out.

Across the street, at 413 State St. The Mex restaurant is in the process of opening in 2015 in a location vacated by The Pace, a short term restaurant at that location. An ABC wine and beer license notice is in the window.
