Mysterious Beach Creature Revealed

On Thursday we learned what type of animal the mysterious sea creature is.

Curator of Vertebrate Zoology Paul Collins at the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum said the creature is an American Badger.

He could tell by the way the skull is shaped.

This animal was found on East Beach in Santa Barbara on Tuesday. It was found near a drain washout, but also near an area where the sandy water from the harbor is coming out of a dredging pipe east of Stearns Wharf.
