Vigil Held for Lompoc Woman
On Saturday evening, friends and family held a vigil for Emma Posadas-Espinoza in front of her home in Lompoc.
The body of the 58-year-old social worker and mental health counselor was discovered behind a carport in La Habra, California this summer.
Her car was found abandoned on Curryer Street in Santa Maria.
La Habra Police have called her death suspicious, but no arrests have been made in connection.
Mari Gonzalez had been family friends with Posadas-Espinoza for 20 years.
“Her own patients are going through grief counseling which speaks to the connections she had with people,” said Gonzalez.
Dozens attended the vigil, lighting candles in memory of Posadas-Espinoza, hoping to keep her memory alive within themselves and for anybody who might know more on what happened.
This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
