Save Our Surf Spreads Holiday Cheer

Project Save Our Surf is planning a holiday party at Tobinworld school in Glendale, and it needs your help to make it happen.

Tobinworld is a nonprofit school for children and young adults who are disabled, autistic or developmentally disabled.

All 320 children who attend the school will be given a shoebox full of goodies at the party.

Save our Surf is asking the community to help them pack the boxes.

So far, several local surf teams have joined in to help, including Dos Pueblos High School and San Marcos High School. Anyone who donates items for the boxes will be entered into a drawing to win a custom-made surfboard donated by Homegrown SurfShop in Ventura.

Save Our Surf gave the following information about what to put in the box, and where to drop off items:

“What is a shoebox gift? It’s a shoebox packed with love and special gifts for a child/teen. You can put any item in the box that is age appropriate. (The children/teens are ages 6 to 20, boys and girls) Items- toys, hats, clothes, candy, games, art supplies, books, makeup, shoes, stuffed animals, jewelry, whatever you think is special. Even a letter to the child/teen. The gifts in the box can be homemade.”

If you have any questions, please call805-570-1638
