Shoppers Stuff Their Carts With Groceries

Last minute shoppers stuffed their carts with items needed to make a Thanksgiving feast.

People at Lazy Acres in Santa Barbara had plenty of pies to choose from.

They could even buy a prepared feast.

But it will save cooks money to make it from scratch.

The American Farm Bureau Federation’s 29th annual price survey ofclassic items found on the Thanksgiving Day table shows theaverage cost of dinner for 10 is $49.41, 37-cents more than last year.

Costco in Goleta reportedly ran out of stuffing. The store won’t have to restock its shelves since it won’t be open on Thursday.

Other grocery chains plan to be open for some of the holiday in case people forgot a main ingredient or more.
