Stabbing Suspect Sought in Old Town Goleta
A stabbing in Old Town Goleta remains under investigation.
Santa Barbara County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect accused of stabbing another man during a fight.
It happened about 5:30 Friday night at the intersection of Mandarin Drive and Orange Avenue.
Sheriff’s deputies tell NewsChannel 3 that one person was taken to the hospital. Another man ran from the scene before deputies arrived.
“Right now this is a very fluid situation. We do know that the males that had the confrontation, they are both in their twenties. When sheriff’s deputies arrived the suspect was not at this location and we are actively searching for him at this hour,” said Sheriff’s spokesperson Kelly Hoover.

Residents who live near the scene of the stabbing say they feel safe, most of the time.
“I feel pretty much safe here, but for the kids around here you never know,” said father David Marsango.
His son Enzo said he feels safe playing during the day, but not at night.
