Suspicious Man Follows Orcutt Teen to School

The Sheriff’s Department has released a sketch of a man they believe followed a Righetti student on her way to school, and on her way home from school.

According to reports, the first incident happened in late August, the girl didn’t think it was a big deal at the time, but the man followed her again just a few days ago.

A friend of the young girl said the teen is still very shaken by the incident.

“My friend said on her way to school, he was walking behind her and kept whispering, hey, don’t be afraid, everything will be ok,” said Krystal Hall.

Hall is a friend of the girl, and also a Righetti student.

The man is wanted for questioning by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s office, and the public is urged to call the Santa Maria substation at 805-934-6150, or the non-emergency dispatch number at 805-692-5743 with any information that can help in the investigation.
