Football Playoff Pairings Announced

Home for the playoffs. More than a dozen high schools in the 805 area code will host first-round football postseason games.

In the CIF Northern Division, undefeated Lompoc will host Camarillo, Arroyo Grande is at Nordhoff, Royal visits Paso Robles, Pioneer Valley travels to Palmdale, Atascadero is home to Thousand Oaks, Bishop Diego hosts Antelope Valley, St. Joseph hosts Eastside while Righetti visits Newbury Park.

All games are on Friday except Bishop Diego’s contest will be played at 7 on Saturday night at Santa Barbara City College.

Despite a 7-3 record, Fillmore did not receive an at-large bid into the playoffs.

In the CIF Western Division, Buena is at Calabasas, Oxnard hosts Torrance, Ventura is home to South Torrance, Pacifica hosts Redondo, Simi Valley is home to North Torrance while Rio Mesa is on the road at El Segundo.

In the Pac-5 Division, Westlake hosts Mater Dei in a rematch of a game earlier this season won by Mater Dei 28-27. Also in the Pac-5 St. Bonaventure plays at Norco.

In the Northwest Division, Mission Prep is at Maranatha, Templeton hosts Heritage Christian, Bishop Montgomery is at Nipomo while Morro Bay travels to Poly Pasadena.

Finally in the East Valley Division, Grace Brethren hosts Webb while Santa Paula plays at St. Genevieve.
