Community Walk in the Eastside

The Coalition for Sustainable Transportation, hosted a community walk on the eastside of Santa Barbara.

Tuesday’s walk is part of the Eastside Walks project which started in January of 2011 to improve walking conditions on Milpas Street and in other areas of the eastside neighborhood.

The Eastside Walks team specifically targeted the roadway crossings between Cleveland and Franklin elementary schools.

The walk began at 9 a.m. on the corner of Clifton and Salinas streets and took about an hour to complete, where it ended at Voluntario and Carpinteria.
