Amgen Tour 2015 Includes Several Central Coast Cities

The Amgen Tour of California, announced the 2015 host cities on Monday.

The race will return to Sacramento to kick off the 10th anniversary of America’s largest cycling race.

On Monday morning Pismo Beach city officials gathered at City Hall to tune in to the announcement on their bid.

Pismo Beach will be one of 12 host cities.

For the second time in 2015, the start line for the fourth stage of the tour will begin on the pier at Pismo Beach. Last year was a historic first time the race started on a pier. The Stage four race will wrap up in Avila, and the stage 5 race starts in Santa Barbara.
