Floor Heater Causes House Fire in Santa Maria
A floor heater is to blame for a house fire in Santa Maria Thursday night.
The fire happened on the 500 block of East Orange Street.
Fire officials said the home was being renovated before it is put up for sale.
The fire damages total an estimated $30,000.
Firefighters said a smoke detector helped prevent it from getting any worse.
