Little League Cries Foul Over Sign
The Goleta Valley South Little League (GVSLL) is crying foul over a sign it was
forced to take down earlier this year. The league also missed a deadline to take down a concrete stand it put up without a permit.
A parent donated the sign with changeable text and lighting.
The league applied for a permit, but put up the sign before one was granted after seeing similar signs with permitting issues at the entrance to the baseball field.
Parents and coaches want the county to step up to the plate and negotiate a compromise, so they can put the sign back up.
Supervisor Janet Wolf said she forwarded a complaint about the sign before it was taken down.
In the spirit of team work, Wolf said she hopes a positive solution can be reached.
