Man Dies Crossing Oxnard Intersection After Being Hit By Car
A fatal collision between a car and a pedestrian happened just after 7 a.m. Thursday between Wooley Road and Novato Drive in Oxnard.
David Jesus Escamilla, 38, was driving a gray 2004 Toyota Corolla, traveling eastbound on Wooley Road when he stuck and killed a 79-year-old male pedestrian.
Investigators said the elderly man was crossing the intersection near Novato Drive.
Oxnard Police said Escamilla was not impaired by alcohol or drugs and was uninjured during the crash.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
