18-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Crash

An 18-year-old man died from his injuries after his motorcycle crashed with a car in Ventura.

The accident happened just before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Foothill Road and Via Plaza intersection.

The motorcyclist was treated on scene by the Ventura Fire Department and then transported to the Ventura County Medical Center.

Ventura police officers are investigating the crash. Initial reports revealed the biker was traveling westbound on Foothill Road when he collided with a car turning left onto Via Plaza.

The car was driven by an 83-year-old woman, who was not injured in the collision. Nearby streets were closed for about two hours during the investigation. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
