California Employers Will Soon Pick Up Some CellPhone Tabs
Workers took on their employer over the cost of using their personal cellphones at work and won.
The California Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals ruled in favor of employees.
The ruling will require businesses to contribute a reasonable amount to cover the cost of cellphones that are used for work purposes.
The ruling will take effect in mid-September.
Lawyers said more technology rulings could follow as people continue to bring their own devices to work.
