Getting A Taste of Santa Barbara: One Step at a Time
If you love food and history, a walking tour new to Santa Barbara might be the perfect way to spend your Saturday.
Ventura Food Tours brings to the south coast a 3-hour excursion unlike any other.
A Taste of Santa Barbara introduces guests to six different locations downtown.
For $75, guests get to sample desserts to wines to dinner cuisine.
Restaurant owners say it’s a fun way to get to know the city whether you’re visiting for a few days or have lived here your entire life.
In addition, they say it’s great for business.
“You have the exposure for people who are not familiar with our particular business,” said Jill Marie Carr, owner of Chocolats du Calibressan. “And I think it’s just an excellent way to see Santa Barbara in general and on top of it all, it’s tasting all kinds of goodies.
Other restaurants on the Santa Barbara tour include:
Renaud’s Patisserie and Bistro, Ca’ Dario, C’est Cheese, Grassini Family Vineyards and Winery and Norton’s Pastrami and Deli.
The trip also includes stops at the Santa Barbara Courthouse and Mission.
The event takes place on Saturdays and there are also tours in Ojai and Ventura.
