Target Still in Talks with Goleta for a New Store

The Target store planned for Goleta, is still in the early stages, but the city says the preliminary aspects of the plan are still being reviewed.

The proposed site is on Hollister Ave. near Los Carneros.

Funding from Target for an environmental assessment still needs to come in to move the project forward. There have been land use and design issues for the site, but this location has been said to be a good fit for the popular store that has been trying to open in either Goleta of Santa Barbara for several years.

Shoppers who favor Target now have to travel to Ventura or Santa Maria to find the closest stores from Goleta.
