Historic Santa Maria Landmark Vandalized

The historic Camp Fire Cabin located at Buena Vista Park was hit with graffiti over the weekend.

Camp Fire Cabin is used for good in many capacities. Camp Fire uses it for children’s activities, programs, and community clubs.

If someone is arrested, the amount of damage will determine if misdemeanor or felony charges are filed.

Alexis Nshamamba is the family supportive services coordinator with the Good Samaritan Staff. The Good Samaritan Shelter is one of the non-profit groups who use Camp Fire Cabin.

Nshamamba said, “Some parents were visibly upset, some of our staff were upset.”

The graffiti was cleaned up by the City of Santa Maria
