Son Of Woman Found Dead In La Habra Bushes Speaks Out

Gabriel Espinoza describedhis mom, Emma Posadas-Espinoza, as a very loving, caring person whose life’s work was helping other people. He said she always wanted the best in others and was “very giving to her working community andto thoseshe served.”

Espinoza said, “From the time I started playing T-ball to gymnastics she was at every game.”

This loving son, standing next to his dad, told KCOY/KKFX/KEYT that his most recent memoryof his mom is when he waswith her at the hospital right before she underwent back surgery. He said jokingly to his 4-foot-11 mother, “The surgery is for your back … they’re not going to put inches on you, so we were just laughing.”

Espinoza’s mother was a licensed social worker. Her partially clothed body was found Monday morningin bushes in La Habra.

Espinoza says he doesn’t want to think about how his mother died and would rather remember how she lived.

The 29-year-old said it’sgoingto be tough for himto go on with lifenow that his mother is gone. He wants the person who did this to know that “I forgive them, it’s just hard.”

La Habra police are still investigating. The family tells us they do not know who could have done this and wants anyone with information to come forward.
