Cowboys Offensive Line Should Shine

With three first-round draft picks used on offensive lineman in the past four years, the Dallas Cowboys have made a heavy commitment to running the football and to protecting its one hundred million dollar quarterback Tony Romo.

Left Tackle Tyron Smith was drafted in the first-round by Dallas in 2011, center Travis Frederick was a first-rounder last year and in May the Cowboys made Zack Martin its top pick. Martin anchored the line at Notre Dame and is expected to start this year for the Cowboys at right guard. Doug Free has improved considerably at right tackle and there is a fierce competition at left guard. Mackenzy Bernadeau, Ron Leary and Uche Nwaneri will battle it out to see who starts.
