Mid State Fair Opens Today

The Santa Barbara County Fair may be over, but now it’s time for the California Mid State fair.

The fair opens today at the Paso Robles Event Center. It will run 10 days and feature everything from carnival rides to equestrian shows and big performances.

Here’s a look at today’s line up:

At 10 a.m., the event kicks off with the annual cattle drive. Then at noon the carnival, concessions and vendors all open up.

The talent show takes place at 5 p.m. at the headliner stage and at 6:30 p.m. it’s Starship on the frontier stage.

But the big headliner tonight is the Zac Brown Band at the Chumash grand stand arena which will be starting at 7:30 p.m.

The fair will be open until midnight and will run through Sunday, July 27.
