Car Accident Leaves One Woman Dead in Ventura
One woman is dead after she was struck in a parking lot Monday night.
The 44-year-old woman was walking into the Cabrillo Pharmacy in Ventura near Community Memorial Hospital.
A truck that was backing out of a parking space struck the victim and pinned the woman between the truck and the building.
Police say drugs and alcohol were not a factor. The investigation is ongoing, witnesses who have information are asked to call the Ventura Police Department.
