Hundreds Enjoy Independence Day Pancake Breakfast

Hundreds of people attended this year’s annual pancake breakfast put on by the Montecito Fire District.

It is a Fourth of July tradition for the firefighters and many area families. Local firefighters served up pancakes, sausage, eggs and coffee to the community.

Kids had a chance to meet their local heroes and take pictures on the fire truck. Smokey the Bear even stopped by to greet attendees.

It was the perfect way to jump start the holiday.

Proceeds go to the Montecito Firefighters Charitable Foundation.
