Reckless Driver in Custody
The San Luis Obispo Police Department got several calls this morning about a man driving recklessly throughout the city with his 3-year-old son in the back seat.
The callers said Andreas Huld was driving through parking lots at 50 mph, coming close to hitting pedestrians, yelling at other drivers on the road and throwing things out of his window.
Officers located the car near Santa Rosa and Walnut Street and attempted a traffic stop, he ignored it and continued driving until he was later caught.
They later discovered Huld was driving while under the influence of marijuana. He was arrested and booked into County Jail. Bail was set at $100,000.
His son was turned over to a family member. Child Welfare Services was contacted and is reviewing the case.
