Vandenberg Air Force Base Preparing for Rocket Launch
A Delta IV Heavy rocket is scheduled to be launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base Wednesday. If conditions are right, launch time is scheduled for 10:52 a.m. NewsChannel 3 plans to stream the launch live here at keyt.com.
The rocket’s boosters are 230 feet tall, a size necessary to carry a satellite into space.
The best public viewing sites are on Floradale Avenue, Corral Road and from Vandenberg Village.
This is the second Delta IV launch from Vandenberg; the first was in 2011.
