Evidence of a bank robbery found in man’s car
A suspect is in custody Wednesday accused of robbing a bank. He is 38-year-old Andrew Gilbertson of Paso Robles.
Detectives from the Atascadero Police Department located Gilbertson in the 7400 block of El Camino Real.
Authorities found cash and a note as evidence from the robbery in his car as well as clothing matching the suspect’s description.
The bank robbery happened around 12:30 p.m. at the Bank of America on Higuera Street.
Police said Gilbertson left the bank with an unknown amount of cash.
The FBI is now involved to figure out if Gilbertson has been involved in any other bank robberies.
