Los Padres National Forest heightens fire restrictions

Extremely dry vegetation and an increasing fire danger mean changes within Los Padres National Forest.

Officials have announced that Level IV fire restrictions will go into effect beginning today, July 23, 2013.

Restrictions include a ban on wood and charcoal fires, recreational target shooting and smokingin all areas of the forest.
