SBHS advances to CIF Division II Finals in boys volleyball
If it wasn’t Joe Rafferty hitting a kill, it was Channing Peake or Tristan Fauntleroy or Ryan Worley. Santa Barbara had too many weapons for Foothill as the Dons won in four sets in a CIF Division II semifinal contest at Westmont College in Montecito.
Santa Barbara won 25-21, 24-26, 25-23, 25-20 to advance to the championship match against top-seeded Esperanza. The title game is scheduled for 4:30p.m. on Saturday at Santiago Canyon College. The Aztecs ended the season of San Marcos with a straight sets victory in Anaheim.
The Dons lost earlier in the year to Esperanza in a five-set thriller.
