Cal Poly students build a robot’s brain

Students at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo are reaching out to the Internet community to help them fund a robotics project.

Students in the robotics club are working on the Aithon board, which is basically the robots brain.

The only way they can move forward with the project is if they reach their fundraising goal of $18,000.

They are using the Kickstarter website to raise the funds.

Future students as well as some of the people who invested in the project will use the boards. “It’s surprising a lot of people, through our kick starter. A lot of people all over the world have purchased them already. We’ve had someone from Switzerland, Australia and London,” said associate professor John Seng.
