Experience WWII history

A vintage World War II B-17 bomber is on display at the Paso Robles Airport.

This particular bomber is named the “Aluminum Overcast.” The historic aircraft has been restored by the Experimental Aircraft Association and they are touring the country.

This particular B-17 bomber was not used during war. More than 12,000 were built and the type of aircraft was used during World War II.

“The Flying Fortress” will be on display at the Paso Robles Airport through Wednesday.

This is just one of 30 stops on the West Coast the Flying Fortress will make.

They are giving ground tours or you can take a flight in this historic World War II bomber.
