Pini case reduced from felony to misdemeanor

There’s been a major change in the alleged burglary case involving landlord Dario Pini. A felony charge was reduced to a misdemeanor in Santa Barbara Superior Court this morning.

Pini has been scheduled to appear in court again on May 2nd.

On that day, a trial date is expected to be scheduled.

Pini is accused of burglary on the site of a aging home that was in the process of being demolished. It was located on Carrillo Street downtown.

His attorney, Josh Lynn says Pini “did not steal anything.”

More details will be posted on this site later today.
