2013 Spirit of Fiesta and Junior Spirit of Fiesta Titleholders Named

Tonight the 2013 Spirit of Fiesta winners have been named. The Spirit of Fiesta winner is 18-year-old Corrie Jimenez of San Marcos High and the Junior Spirit of Fiesta winner is 11-year-old Kailani Cordero of Washington Elementary.

Drawing on influences from flamenco and classical the two artists danced their way into the hearts of the judges and promised to do the same for the thousands of spectators who will celebrate all the festivities culminating in the five-day Old Spanish Days Festival which highlights the historical significance of the Mexican and Spanish culturesthat have contributed to creating the beauty and uniqueness of Santa Barbara culture and life.
