Hit-and-run victim was 21 weeks pregnant

Santa Maria police have released the name of a woman killed in a hit-and-run crash.

Police believe Stacia Parlanti, 35, of Santa Maria, was hit by a car at 9:15 Saturday night on Black and Mahoney Roads, near Tanglewood.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office released autopsy results Thursday. The autopsy revealed Parlanti was 21 weeks pregnant when she was killed. The case will be investigated as a double fatality.

Officers are looking for any new information about what happened that night.

They said pinpointing the exact time of the collision will help determine potential vehicles that would have been in the area.

At this point, they have no evidence of the type of vehicle involved.

So far, no arrests have been made.
