UCSB’s Al Williams named First Team All-Big West, Boswell earns Sixth Man of the Year

The double-double machine known as UCSB sophomore Alan Williams was named First Team All-Big West while sharpshooter Kyle Boswell garnered the league’s Sixth Man of the Year.

Williams is averaging 17.6 points and a league-leading 10.7 rebounds per game. He has 15 double-doubles in 27 games this year.

The junior Boswell came off the bench to average 13.2 points per game and has made 42.1 percent of hits three-point attempts.

The Gauchos have won three straight games as they enter the Big West Conference Tournament where they will open up Thursday at noon against Pacific. The two teams split their two meetings this year with each winning at home.
