Dons win in Fresno to advance to second round of CIF Division 3 State Tournament
A well-rounded performance in Fresno has sent Santa Barbara into the second round of the girls basketball Division 3 CIF State Tournament. Desirea Coleman scored 19 points with six steals, Ivette Gil added 16 points, Melissa Lemus dished out 12 assists while freshman Amber Melgoza scored 13 points along with 13 rebounds in a 65-54 win against Hanford-West.
The Dons improve to 25-8 on the year and will play at Chaminade on Saturday.
