Packer trial date set

Joshua Packer has a new trial date.

Packer is accused of the 2009 slayings of Brock and Davina Husted and their unborn child at their Faria Beach home.

Davina Husted was five months pregnant.

Jury selection was set to begin in January, but his attorneys said they weren’t ready.

A judge approved a new June 3 trial date.

The 22-year-old suspect is being held without bail in Ventura County Jail.
