UCSB baseball sweeps San Jose State in 3 game series

UC Santa Barbara picked up its second walk-off victory of the weekend against San Jose State.

The Gauchos scored in the bottom of the 10th inning to end a 1-1 draw and win the game 2-1. UCSB swept San Jose State in the three game series and improves to a season high three games over .500.

Starter Andrew Vasquez threw five innings, allowing one run, five hits and striking out four. Lefty Greg Mahle came in from the bullpen and shutdown the Spartans.

Brandon Trinkwon won the game with a hit through the left side in the bottom of the 10th. Trinkwon had three hits against the San Jose State pitching staff.
