CIF playoff pairings announced for boys and girls soccer

The Santa Barbara High School boys soccer team was edged out for a Channel League title by Ventura but it did not stop the Dons from getting a first round home playoff game. The Dons, ranked No. 10 in the state by MaxPreps, will host Fountain Valley in a CIF-Division I first round playoff game on Friday. The Dons are 19-4-2 on the season.

The Dons will also be home in girls soccer as the Channel League champs will host Milliken on Thursday. Santa Barbara won their first league title in girls soccer since 1986.
